Random question, tangent to someone else's post about cleansing...is there "too much" cleansing? I mean from modern medicine we know that overuse of antibiotics or antibacterial soaps have lead to resistant bacteria. Can we see that reflected in the spiritual/magical as well?

I don't think so. If you interact with the public at all, even just grocery shopping, you can get stuff thrown at you. I use to be really good at keeping my regular cleansings and protections up, but I got out of the habit of that and now paying the price for it. Someone close to me has thrown at me and i'm still recovering from that. You want to keep that stuff going so that if you get sick or injured you can still be protected for awhile and have time to recover without worrying about anything getting through.
