I have always basically lived in rural areas and never had the opportunity to go to a witchcraft shop or any place where people like me would be welcome to come in as our authentic selves….

I was military in my early years and law enforcement in my mid to later years…..

and I can tell you that my kind of people were not accepted or welcomed by my peers in uniform or the courthouse …. So with all of the above being my reality, I became a solitary practitioner

I met people who were in the craft when I would be a vendor at Ren Faires

On those weekends I did participate in what I called our ragtag coven of witches from just about everywhere …. Most of them were in covens in their own towns….. they were in metropolitan areas and 3+ hours away so my participation was limited to infrequent vending events and online shopping for my supplies

I haven’t been a vendor in a long while and I still live in the 1 horse town in the rural Midwest where I grew up and retired from law enforcement.

As silly as it sounds ( even to my own ears) I don’t know if I would know what to do if I had the opportunity to go to a witch store…. I would probably look like a suspicious person who they would surveil *lol*
